Backing Up Data
There are several ways to back up your data provided by the Windows Operating System. One of these is the tape back ups that always have a File Extension QIC (Quarter-Inch Cartridge) created by Microsoft Windows 95 and 98. Some users still doesn’t know what are these for and how they are important. Knowing these tape back ups with File Extension QIC, they are just like cassette tapes that erase old content before recording new content. For business, it is more recommended to use these tape back ups with File Extension QIC.
Professionals advise using three tapes. The primary system backup which serves as the first tape and alternate two other tapes for maintenance. When in the most recent tape has corrupted data on it, you can use the older cleaner tape to reconstruct the data without the corruption. Then just use the corrupted tape to back up the system again. Keep the old tape until you are sure the corrupted files are fixed.
